STEP 01
Consultation
We talk through what the business needs and agree the scope. Work starts once the 50% deposit is settled.
STEP 02
Research
Your market, your competitors and how the business actually operates — so the structure follows a strategy rather than a visual trend.
STEP 03
Design
The interface is designed and revised with you until you sign it off. Nothing is built on a design you have not approved.
STEP 04
Development
The approved design becomes a working, mobile-friendly site. While we build, you can be preparing text and photographs.
STEP 05
Launch
After testing and your final approval it goes live on your domain, and we submit it to Google so it starts being indexed.
STEP 06
Support
Technical support continues after launch, with system and plugin updates kept current so the site stays secure.
FAQ
Before you ask.
- Is this only for large companies?
- No. The work runs from independent professionals and small businesses through to larger companies, and the scope is matched to the budget rather than the other way round. A four-page profile site and a hundred-page catalogue are both normal projects here.
- Do you redesign existing websites?
- Yes, including sites somebody else built. If a site has become slow, looks dated or is awkward on a phone, we rebuild it on a content management system that is easier to run afterwards. A partial redesign is also possible when the structure is sound and only the front pages need the work.
- Will my site go offline while it is being redesigned?
- No. The rebuild happens on a separate staging server while your existing site stays live and keeps serving customers. It only changes over once the new version is finished and you have approved it.
- Will a redesign cost me my Google rankings?
- That is the risk a redesign has to be planned around, and it is planned around here: old addresses are mapped to new ones with 301 redirects so neither visitors nor search engines land on a dead page. Existing content — pages, portfolio galleries, blog articles, customer data — is migrated across rather than retyped.
